One Of My Favorite Brands, Howl Guitars, Is Back For 2024

Some of you who have been long time readers here may remember the Howl Guitars Sirena 3 I reviewed many years back. It was one of my absolute favorite guitars for years and years, and reminded me of the pre-pandemic time where guitar manufacturing was booming. New brands and builders were taking risks and getting creative, it was a fun time to be reviewing gear.

Obviously many things have changed due to the pandemic, parts shortages, factory costs rising, as well as many other unsavory happenings. I even tried to see if I could churn up any new updates from Howl once they dropped off the face of the earth.

But finally, at NAMM 2024, Howl Guitars has made their return! I’m obviously pumped, as their Sirena was one of my favorite guitar design concepts ever. Korina body, roasted maple neck, loud pickups, unique matte finishes. It was the whole 9 yards for me.

The Sirena 3 that we all know and love is seemingly gone to the history books, but the Sirena II has just been announced via their Instagram. I have no inside info to share, though I freaking love the double cut design and various spec options they showed off. As you can imagine, I already hit them up extensively for a spec sheet, a review, and more info. I’ll update this article as I get intel, but for now, it’s just fun NAMM 24 news to share.

  1. Been trying to follow any and all vapor trails of info about the Sirena 3 (came up bust as we all did it seems), and can only guess that the big Gib-machine went the path of low hanging fruit again. I assume it was with the ol’ cease-and-desist letter, etc. Damn shame too, cuz I’m not a big LP fan but the Howl “did it for me” for some reason in the looks dept. Oh well (sigh), onward ’24 🤘🏻🎸🎶
