If you’re in Southern New England and a fan of punk rock, here’s the perfect waterfront venue for you.

This is the first in a new series I’m debuting where our website will highlight amazing businesses that are music and gear-adjacent as well as influenced by punk or DIY.
Back in 2024 I was chatting with my buddy Mark from Summer School Electronics when he mentioned that his band, Bridge Under Fire, was going to playing locally to me. As someone who lived in Rhode Island, it wasn’t every day that a friend’s punk band was passing through to play. Usually I’d have to trek to Boston, or at least Providence in Northern RI. But this time, I just had to drive a nice 20 minutes from one beach town to another to catch a great show.
That show would be my first time visiting Rejects Beer Co. a punk-rock inspired brewery right on the water of Aquidneck Island, Rhode Island. There’s always punk or rap music playing, and their tap room serves as a venue that hosts exclusively punk rock shows, amongst other events like movie screenings and hobby tutorials.
While I may be moving away from Rhode Island for a short stint, Rejects has become one of my favorite RI haunts this last year. One of the points I emphasize in my gear review content is that we should always try to support folks from our scene in their business endeavors. Usually I’m saying that about a luthier or pedal builder from the punk world who is now making awesome gear for us to play punk music on. However, that logic absolutely applies outside of guitar gear, especially considering the close relationship between punk music and this brewery. In my experience, Rejects is a place full of cool people doing cool things. If you’re looking to catch a show, eat some tacos, or drink a pint on the water, give Rejects a shot!
