Morifone’s follow up to the Quarzo is a smaller, quirkier offset that is quite frankly, stunning.

To those of you who follow my content closely, the Morifone Spada may already be a familiar name to you. That’s because just last year, I got one of the first Spada’s ever made, a signature guitar for yours truly with a very quirky pickup configuration!
But now, Morifone Guitars has announced the Spada to the whole world, unveiling the Spada Speciale, Deluxe, and a handful of signature models as well. The Speciale is a stripped down version, with two pickups, Mahogany body and neck, a rosewood fretboard, and the newly updated Aileron headstock we all know and love from the Quarzo. The Deluxe version will offer a bit more sparkle, with a flamed maple top, the option for a third pickup to be added, and Lollar pickups instead of the Fralin’s in the Speciale.
Both guitars feature one piece, long tenon neck designs, as well as nitrocellulose finishes. There’s ratio tuners, with the option for locking tuners. And you can pick between Resomax wraparound or tune-o-matic bridge options. The triple pickguard configuration is one of the most creative features I’ve seen in a while that is simple, yet completely changes the cool factor of a guitar.
The Speciale starts at $2199 USD, while the Deluxe starts at $2399, with some availability to customize each including a huge array of amazing finish options.

You may also notice that my specific Signature Spada is also now listed up for sale, meaning if you’ve fallen in love with my quirky, mini humbucker-mini humbucker-P90 beauty you too can go grab one! Here it is in action with a recent pedal demo!
I’m obviously biased, but the Morifone brand is putting out some of the best guitars in the world right now. I fell in love after being loaned a Quarzo for review, and I spent my own money on the Spada you see here. It wasn’t gifted to me, I loved the Morifone work so much I had to grab my own. Which is the best endorsement you can give something!
Go learn a ton more about the new Spada on the Morifone website and watch their latest video introducing the Spada and Aileron 2 headstock!
