This beautiful stands come by way of Australia and is a great alternative to traditional (i.e. ugly) options.

Today we’re checking out a different kind of product than you usually see here. It’s not a guitar, bass, or new boutique pedal. It’s a boutique guitar stand! This one in particularly has come to me from Stories In Wood, an Australian-based brand, who sent over their Timberline model for me to use in my new home.
Ease of Assembly
Listen, it took me like 30 seconds to put this together, it’s so easy. It doesn’t even need instructions, you literally just screw the base and the neck together and boom, beautiful stand is assembled and ready to go. I had this up and holding my Strat and Rascal so soon. It may have taken me longer to open the box it arrived in.
Here’s my stand with and without my Rascal Bass onboard.

Why Would You Want A Stories In Wood Stand?
There’s a lot of reasons that come to mind, but note that most are preferential. Buying a nice guitar stand won’t make your guitar sound better, and I’m not here to tell you that you NEED this product. But you may want it, and there’s a lot of reasons to!
I think the biggest thing is the aesthetic side of things, as this is a really beautiful but simple stand that can blend into decor and a room far better than the old traditional stands I had for awhile. As we get older, our lives and priorities change, and suddenly you may have partners or roommates to appease with how you store and show off your beloved guitars. These stands are a great way to accomplish that goal, as they look far more like a nice, pleasing piece of furniture.
But also there’s something to be said about investing in a quality product to hold your quality gear. You’ve likely invested a good bit of coin into your guitar or bass, so it doesn’t hurt to know you have a quality/trustworthy/reliable stand holding that guitar up. So far, I’ve had zero issues with my stand and have it safely holding my bass next to my work desk.
Now this is a quality piece of craftsmanship but it also isn’t dramatically expensive, as most of these are $100-$200 Australian (AUD), which translates to close to $60-$120 USD. Sure, it’s not as cheap as the classic $15 stand you’re used to seeing at Guitar Center, but it offers a lot more. Additionally, it’s a lot cheaper than the $200 USD guitar stands from brands like PRS Guitars.
There’s a lot of cool reasons to get yourself a nice stand like the options from Stories In Wood. I would say this is not something that you NEED to have as a guitarist, but it’s something you will certainly want to have handy for the reasons outlined above.
