Black Friday 2024 Pedal Releases To Know About

Gonna treat yourself to a new pedal? Start with some of these gems.

I’m really not a fan of the commercialism of our holidays, but I’m also pragmatic and realize we’re all just trying to do our best in this crushing capitalist society. So if we’re going to spend some money and contribute to this madness, we may as well spend on small businesses, our friends, and pedal builders who are great people. As such, I’ve got a few of my favorite brands and their new Black Friday releases rounded up below. If you see something that catches your eye, don’t miss out on it!

I will be updating this article to add new releases and pedals as they come up!

Also, I would greatly appreciate it if you could use any of my affiliate links for some of your Black Friday shopping this year. This website is entirely self funded and I don’t collect a fee from the brands whose reviews and demos you see on this site. It is important for me to keep it easy for some of these smaller brands to get coverage on my website. As such, any links you use can really make it easy for me to keep this going! Links below:

Summer School Electronics Germanium Science Fair

Summer School’s beloved Science Fair now comes in a Germanium clipping version, which is an exciting twist on one of my all time favorite pedals. If you haven’t yet got a Science Fair, or prefer Ge to Si clipping, I think you should move quick on one of these limited edition pedals

Black Mass Electronics Dual 1312

Black Mass Electronics is a great local builder to me in New England, and also an avid participant in the punk community. This year they will be releasing a limited edition version of their 1312 dirt pedal. This is a dual edition, two pedals in one big enclosure, that has some really interesting configuration options. It’s two independent pedals that can be stacked together, but also run in stereo mode, or an inert loop mode. I recommend you go check out their website and social media to see more of this great looking release.

RUDE TECH The Dude Alert! Overdrive

RUDE TECH is teaming up guitarist Brian Klemm of Suburban Legends, the SoCal Ska band to release his signature The Dude Alert! It’s a Tube Screamer-style pedal with increased volume output, an updated tone stack, and then variable clipping options controlled by a toggle switch. Left side of the toggle is LED clipping, right side asymmetrical Silicon clipping, and the center is a boost mode where there’s no clipping in the circuit. It’s a cool, flexible drive pedal from a really fantastic builder.

Fish Circuits Exploration #1 Fuzzstortion

While this isn’t exactly a Black Friday-specific pedal, Canada’s Fish Circuits is releasing a new pedal during the holiday times. The Exploration #1 Fuzzstortion is the first in a new line of innovative pedals from the makers of the fantastic Model One pedal we previously covered. This is a simple but versatile creation that goes from drive to fuzz based on how you move the texture knob.
