A spin on their popular Science Fair format, The Class Reunion packs Big Muff and their Trash Panda tone into one.

Today one of my favorite builders, Summer School Electronics, announced their newest creation. The Class Reunion is a new spin on their blendable circuitry, which they first perfected with the Science Fair. This was a RAT and Tube Screamer in one box that allowed both to be blended at different mixes, creating some very cool textures. The Class Reunion is the same idea, but with two different pedals, and different clipping options.
On the black side, you have Summer School’s take on a Russian Big Muff, with both silicon and LED clipping options. Then on the green side you have their Trash Panda circuit, a drive/distortion pedal that’s also vaguely Muff-ish, but with less gain on tap. It also has silicon or LED clipping via a toggle switch. Both have independent tone and drive controls, which means you can create a lot of combinations via the blend knob.
Simply put, this is a freaking awesome pedal, as I described in my review for Ultimate Guitar today. While I won’t be doing a full review here on Guitars For Idiots, I’ll leave my demo below for you to enjoy!
But I would highly recommend heading over to Summer School Electronics to grab your own!
